The Department of Finance consists of top financial teachers and researchers,leaders in their field. The Department guarantees financial programmes and offers a wide range of courses in finance, monetary theory and policy, banking, insurance, corporate finance, capital markets, international finance or payments and transactions.

The Department of Finance has a rich list of publications.The members of the Department take part in many research projects and grants including the Czech Science Foundation projects. The Department of Finance organizes regularly "International Conference on Finance and Banking". Many well-known and important economists as well as representatives of the government and non-government institutions have participated in it. Papers presented at the conference are published in proceedings from the conference that can be accessed at our website, too.

The Research and the education performed by the Department of Finance is developed in close collaboration with other universities in the Czech Republic and abroad. Members of the Department teach in the doctoral programmes and work as consultants of doctoral students at other universities. The Department has hosted many foreign teachers and researchers.
