Pavlína Haltofová graduated from the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology at Mendel’s Agriculture and Forestry University in Brno (2003). In 2006, she finished her doctoral study in the field of Wood Protection. In the years 2001 – 2003, she worked as a scientific unskilled labor at the Forest Protection and Game Management of LDF MZLU in Brno in the years 2004 – 2006 as a technical research worker at the Department of Forest Botany, Dendrology and Geobiocoenology, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry in Brno.

At the Department of Finance at the School of Business Administration in Karvina she has been employed since October, 2006. She is co-founder of Civic society Tyra, not for profit, non-governmental organisation. She is as well member of statutory committee and financial manager in this organisation.
She lectures in courses: Finance of NGOs, Corporate finance A, Corporate finance in Central Europe. She leads seminars in courses: Corporate finance A and Money, banking and financial markets.
