Ivo Veselý graduated from the Technical University in the field of Coal Mining Management (1974).
After he finished his university study, he started to work for OKD (Ostrava-Karvina Coal Mines) in Ostrava. From 1991 to 2001 he worked in several banks and financial institutions as a regional manager, head of business affairs, and head of the division.
Since September 2001, he has worked as assistant professor at the School of Business Administration of the Silesian University. He lectures in courses: Financial Analysis and Planning, Corporate Finance A, Corporate Finance B, Project Financing and Small and Middle sized Enterprises in Central Europe (in English).
He is a member of the Czech Economic Society.
